Sun City Mesquite is one of the newest editions to Mesquite Nevada. As with other Del Webb communities Sun City Mesquite is an active adult community. It fits in well with the current demographics in Mesquite and take it beyond what is now a resort and retirement community in Southern Nevada.
In the Summer of 2006 Pulte/Del Webb broke ground on the 2,014 acre master planned community named Sun City Mesquite. Pulte Homes is a well known builder based out of Michigan, known in many areas including Las Vegas for Sun City and Anthem communities. Pulte purchased the land for $79 million dollars or $39,225/acre.
This picturesque community has a 30,000sq.ft. recreation center with a library, billiard room, hobby and game rooms, kilns, and large rooms for meetings and dances on the east side. On the west side of this building is the work out room, dance studio, indoor swimming pool, changing rooms and upstairs is an indoor walking track. They also have a huge outdoor pool. Near the recreation center for Sun City Mesquite is a 18-hole pitching and putting course as well as tennis and pickle ball courts, tennis courts, basketball and bocce ball.
Built throughout Sun City Mesquite is an 18 hole championship golf course named Conestoga Golf Club designed by Gary Panks. This course will be managed by Troon Golf LLC . The course is looking really good and should be ready to open spring 2010. It will feature elevated tees shots and fairways winding through canyons and mesa’s, much like what golfers playing golf in Mesquite have come to expect. Conestoga Golf Club will be the 8th golf course in Mesquite Nevada.
Buyers can choose from 13 single story designs from 1,241sq.ft. to 3,116sq.ft. Prices range from about $190,000 to $400,000+ depending on upgrades and if it is on the Conestoga Golf Course. This community currently is estimated to have about 3,700 homes built over the next 5 to 8 years. There are currently over 500 homes sold in Sun City Mesquite.
Pulte Homes/Del Webb build these homes in a series. Each home in Sun City Mesquite is built with a post tension foundation (which most builder in Mesquite NV do not do), have granite counter tops and impressive interiors. These energy efficient homes come with a guarantee not to have heating and cooling costs exceed a posted dollar amount on each home. Quality products like Mohawk carpet, Shermin Williams paint, GE appliances(stainless steel, white or black is standard), Moen faucets, Merillat cabinets, Atrium windows, and more. To top it all off this is 100% Energy Star certified.
The home owners association fees are $120/mo. This covers the community and recreation center amenities. It also maintains the parks, common areas and walking trails through the community. Basic limited cable television and installation is included with all homes. The Pulte/Del Webb currently does offer incentives to cover closing costs.
