While the prices have come down the number or Las Vegas homes and condo closings are up. January 2009 reported the highest number of closings in January for the last 5 years. The Las Vegas MLS statistics reported about 2300 closings for single family homes. This is more than double the number of single families sold last January. Las Vegas condos and townhomes had over 400 closings and confirmed that January 2009 had roughly the same amount of closings compared to January 2005 and January 2006. This is was significantly higher than years 2007 (just over 300) and 2008(less than 200).
