Hot Fun in Las Vegas NV this Summer Time
If you enjoy good music and free,( yes, I said free), concerts, then you have to check out the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas Nevada. this summer. They are doing the “Summer of Love” and the music is flowing. Ah yes, the good old days.
We recently took advantage of this with an overnight stay at the Four Queens right on Fremont Street, right in the heart of all the action. Just park your car and you can walk around and enjoy all there is going on there.. The streets were alive with music and the main attraction that night was the Fifth Dimension! Did I mention “Free Concert”!! Stroll on down the covered street and there was so much to see. They had an excellent saxophone player who could hold a note longer than anybody I know. They also had an exhibit of the Apollo moon landing with a space capsule, astronaut suit and even an ex astronaut to tell all about it.
We really enjoyed the concert and the next morning, it was just an hour and one half back to Mesquite, Nevada. We seem to have the best of both worlds here. We are not far from great hiking and not far from the big city lights and shows. With so much to do in all directions, it’s hard to decide what to do on weekends.
There are still a few more free concerts on Fremont Street this summer like Tribute to Woodstock on Aug. 14-16th, Saturday, Sept. 5th it is Canned Heat and Sunday the 6th, it’s Three Dog Night!! What a great way to wrap up” the dog days of summer”!! Enjoy.
