Great question and the I do not know the answer. They are supposed to have the first phase functional for fall 2011. I don't believe they are technically in default but they have a lot to do... starting with getting the Planned Unit Development design book completed. I talked to a person at City Hall that did not give me a straight answer and said that the City of Mesquite is taking a "wait and see" approach. They need to come up with $128 million for the first phase and in a down economy?? I think I will take the wait and see attitude as well.

Dennis you have a great question and I am not sure on what type of commercial space is going to be available, however will keep you posted as to further developments. The next step for Desert Falls International, now that they have put down their non-refundable deposit, is to finish there design standards booklet with the City of Mesquite. This will out-line what is going to be built and in which phase. When that is released (estimated to be the first quarter 2010) I should have some answers as to when and what type of commercial space will be for lease. Thanks for the comment!

I was wondering if you had any information on commercial space for lease in the complex. I have been visiting Mesquite, NV for the past 10 yeas and absolutely love it. I have been interested in relocating here ever since I heard the news of this new complex opening. Any information will help.
Thank-You

Beth
Thank you for you response. According to a City Council Member, the Purchaser's have until Aug. 26 to come up with funds for this project. Adidas was interested in 40-50 acres of the project to buy or lease. The funds at this point are private for the first phase. The City of Mesquite did confirm that they do have letters from Adidas and had a representative that came to Mesquite earlier this year. The letters state that Adidas has an interest in being part of this project.

Now things may have changed since this article was written and Adidas may no longer be interested, however I nor the City of Mesquite has received anything to that effect.
