The Beaver Dam MLS located in the Arizona Strip area of Northwest Arizona is comprised of Beaver Dam AZ, Littlefield AZ, Desert Springs AZ, and Scenic AZ. This area of the Arizona Strip district is located between Mesquite NV and St. George UT. The area is surrounded by the Virgin Mountains to the south and the Virgin River Gorge to the north. The Virgin River Gorge is one of the most beautiful 11 mile stretches of highway you will ever drive. While driving through keep your eyes open and you may see some Desert Big Horn Sheep. You will also see fantastic rock formations and the Virgin River that carved this gorge centuries ago.

Beaver Dam Arizona is the largest of the four towns in the Beaver Dam MLS and in the Arizona Strip district with a population of about 1500 people. This is “desert living” at its finest.. Live amongst the cactus and Joshua trees as well as having breath taking views in all directions. This is why many choose to purchase Beaver Dam AZ homes.

These homes in Arizona have a number of schools Beaver Dam Elementary (k-5) built in 1999, Beaver Dam Middle School (6-8) and Beaver Dam High School (9-12) built in 2004. The enrollment for 2009-2009 year for Beaver Dam High School is about 160 students. All schools here are part of are located in Beaver Dam AZ and are part of the Littlefield Unified School District. This area has a post office, a fire stations and a medical clinic. Community services include a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), a fire station and a Mojave County Sheriff Station. They also have a mobile library that visits the area.

If you love the outdoors, riding ATV’s and horse back riding look no further than Littlefield Arizona, which lays about a mile south of Beaver Dam AZ on the south side of Interstate 15. While still in the Virgin Valley it is slightly higher as you move up the grade toward the Virgin Mountains. Many of the Littlefield AZ homes will overlook the Virgin River. If you like having views of the mountains and the valley, the scenery here is panoramic. Few building restrictions on Littlefield real estate allow you to live the lifestyle of your choosing. It is estimated that about 800 people live in the area of Littlefield.

Desert Springs Arizona is the smallest of the four towns and is the last town you see traveling north on Interstate 15 before entering the Virgin Valley Gorge. This town is more isolated than the others. The population is around 200 people. Many people have purchased Desert Springs AZ land and acreage as it is on the outskirts and prices have historically been lower. There are some nice homes here and the views seem to never end.

Lastly is Scenic Arizona, the name is no coincidence as it has the highest elevation of the four towns and is the closest to Mesquite Nevada. You will not have to worry about being to close to your neighbor. Scenic AZ homes have a minimum one acre lot for building. The population is estimated at about 750 residents here. Looking at the Beaver Dam MLS you will see homes here vary from Southwest style to very energy efficient, green homes. This is another area where you find plenty of horse property. From the Scenic AZ it is a short 20 mile drive on back roads to get to the Parashant Monument of the Grand Canyon. Come have a look and visit the area for day or a week and become so infatuated with the area that you will want to stay for a lifetime.
